Carlos Filipe Fernandes da Silva Gonçalves (born October 12, 1950) is a Capeverdean journalist and an investigator, ex-director of the Portuguese station Rádio Comercial. Rádio Comercial
Rádio Comercial is a commercial radio station in Portugal aimed at young people and adults. It has a broad format including contemporary, pop and rock music. It is among the most listened to radio stations in the country. History Rádio Comercial was born on March 12, 1979, as a subsidiary of Rádiodifusão Portuguesa. The name was chosen because it was the only RDP station to allow adverts at the time. However, the station can trace its roots to Rádio Clube Português (RCP), a very important and influential station founded in 1930. RCP existed until 1975, when it was nationalized as part of the Carnation revolution. Then, the channel was swallowed into RDP, and was later privatized on March 31, 1993, to the Correio da Manhã newspaper, and later sold to Media Capital and PRISA, in 1997. The Batuque is a music and dance genre from Cape Verde. As a music genre As a music genre, the ''batuque'' is characterized by having an ''andante'' tempo, a 6/8 or 3/4 measure and traditionally it is just melodic, i.e., it is just sung, it has no polyphonic accompaniment. When compared with the other musical genres from Cape Verde, the ''batuque'' has a call and response structure, and it is the only genre that is polyrhythmic. In fact, analyzing the rhythm, one finds out that it is a 3-beat rhythm over a 2-beat rhythm. In its traditional form, the ''batuque'' is organized as if it were an orchestral ''crescendo''. National Library Of Cape Verde
The National Library of Cape Verde ( pt, Instituto da Biblioteca Nacional e do Livro) is located in Praia, Cape Verde. The library was established in 1999. The library maintains the National Bibliography, contains the country's historical archives and the theses and dissertation bank and is a legal deposit. It also serves as the public library of Praia, the country's capital. Baltasar Lopes da Silva ( Caleijão, São Nicolau, 23 April 1907 - Lisbon, Portugal, 28 May 1989) was a writer, poet and linguist from Cape Verde, who wrote in both Portuguese and Cape Verdean Creole. With Manuel Lopes and Jorge Barbosa, he was the founder of ''Claridade''. In 1947 he published '' Chiquinho'', considered the greatest Cape Verdean novel and '' O dialecto crioulo de Cabo Verde'' which describes different dialects of creoles of Cape Verde.
