Carlos Barredo
Carlos Barredo Llamazales (born 5 June 1981, in Oviedo, Asturias) is a Spanish former road racing cyclist, who competed as a professional between 2004 and 2012. He was issued a suspension for the first two months of the 2011 season in response to a fight with Rui Costa after a 2010 Tour de France stage, with Barredo claiming that Costa had ridden dangerously in the final stages of the race, but later apologising for his actions. Doping Barredo was suspended by on 18 October 2012 after the UCI opened proceedings for apparent violations of the Anti-Doping Rules on the basis of the information provided by the blood profile in his biological passport. In December of that year, he told Spanish newspaper ''El Pais'' that he was retiring from cycling and that he was starting a new job in a café in Madrid. 2010 Tour De France
The 2010 Tour de France was the 97th edition of the Tour de France cycle race, one of cycling's Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tours. It started on with an 8.9 km prologue time trial in Rotterdam, the first start in the Netherlands since 1996 Tour de France, 1996. Tour Of Belgium
The Tour of Belgium ( nl, Ronde van België; french: Tour de Belgique) is a five-day bicycle race which is held annually in Belgium, and is part of the UCI ProSeries. It was held annually between 1908 and 1981, except during both world wars. Between 1982 and 1990 several races were not organised and none at all from 1991 to 2001. From 2002 onwards the race has again become an annual fixture on the cycling calendar. Following the start of the UCI ProTour in 2005 it looked like the race would merge with the Eneco Tour; however this did not happen and it became part of the UCI Europe Tour competition. The 2011 Clásica de San Sebastián was the 31st edition of the Clásica de San Sebastián, a single-day cycling race. It was held on 30 July 2011, over a distance of , starting and finishing in San Sebastián, in the Basque Country, Spain. It was the eighteenth event of the 2011 UCI World Tour season. Similar to his late race attacks to win the Ardennes classics earlier in the year, 's Philippe Gilbert accelerated away from the pack with remaining in the race and caught and passed 's Carlos Barredo on the road. Barredo could not hold Gilbert's pace and thus Gilbert opened up a gap of over ten seconds that he held to the finish, to secure his fourteenth victory of the season. The 2010 Giro di Lombardia was the 104th edition of this single-day classic cycling race, colloquially known as the "Race of the Falling Leaves". The event took place 16 October 2010. It was the final event of the 2010 UCI World Ranking and the final major event of the 2010 road racing season. The race was long from its start in Milan to its finish in Como. Notable features of this race include that it runs around picturesque Lake Como in Northern Italy and includes the Madonna del Ghisallo climb (511 m of elevation gain). At the top of this climb sits the shrine of Madonna del Ghisallo (the patron saint of cyclists) that contains a large amount of cycling memorabilia.
