Carlos Álvarez (born 1952) is a Cuban American politician, and the former mayor of Miami-Dade County. He was first elected mayor in 2004, and re-elected in 2008. His mayoralty ended in March 2011 after a recall election. Carlos Álvarez (Argentine Politician)
Carlos Alberto "Chacho" Álvarez (born 26 December 1948) is an Argentine politician. He was Vice President of Argentina during the first 10 months of President Fernando de la Rúa's term, and headed the ALADI Secretariat from 2011 to 2017. Biography Álvarez was born in Buenos Aires. His father was a printing worker, and the younger Álvarez's first experience in politics would be in the splinter trade union CGT de los Argentinos, formed in 1968 by Raimundo Ongaro. He earned his degree in history at the University of Buenos Aires. Álvarez married three times in his youth: Marta Chojo, Gloria López Lecube, and Liliana Chiernajowsky. He had two daughters with his second wife, though his third marriage would be the most enduring. He met Liliana Chiernajowsky, who had spent 7 years as a political prisoner during the Dirty War, shortly after her release in 1981. They had one daughter. 2014 MW-V6 Pickup Series Season
The 2014 MW-V6 Pickup Series season was a pickup truck racing series that started over 25–27 April in Portimão, Portugal and ended over 17–19 October at the TT Circuit Assen, Netherlands. MW-V6 was a part of Acceleration 2014, a series of festivals combining top class car and bike racing with music and entertainment. Next to MW-V6, there was the Formula Acceleration 1, based on the former A1 Grand Prix, the Legend SuperCup, based on legends car racing, and the European Stock 600 and 1000 Series, which featured motorcycle racing for 15- and 16-year-olds. To attract young, yet serious, racing drivers, the 2014 MW-V6 winning driver was promised half the budget for the 2015 FA1 season and a test day in the FA1 car, or the full budget for the 2015 MW-V6 season plus an FA1 test.
