Carlinhos (footballer, Born 1937)
Luís Carlos Nunes da Silva, nicknamed Carlinhos (19 November 1937 – 22 June 2015), played for Flamengo between 1958 and 1969. Because of his elegant football and his thin voice, he was known as "The Violin". In Flamengo, he won the 1961 Torneio Rio-São Paulo and twice the Rio State Championship (1963 and 1965). Carlinhos was capped for the Brazil national team several times in the 1960s. He was one of the few players to receive the Belfort Duarte Trophy ("fair play award") from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF). The award is given to the players who have never received a red card. His career as a manager started in 1983, when he coached Flamengo for five matches. Four years later, he was back at Flamengo when former coach Antônio Lopes was fired for the bad results in the 1987 Rio State Championship finals. José Roberto Gama de Oliveira (born 16 February 1964), known as Bebeto (), is a Brazilian former professional football player who played as a forward. He entered politics in the 2010 Brazilian General Elections and was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro representing the Democratic Labour Party. Copa Mercosur
The Copa Mercosur (, pt, Copa Mercosul , "Mercosur Cup") was a football competition played from 1998 to 2001 by the traditional top clubs from Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile. The competition was created by CONMEBOL to generate TV money to the participating teams, but it went beyond and ended up, together with the Copa Merconorte, as natural replacement to the CONMEBOL Cup. These two, Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur, were replaced in 2002 by the Copa Sudamericana. Format Twenty teams played in the tournament. Botafogo (local/standard alternative Brazilian Portuguese pronunciation: ) is a beachfront neighborhood ('' bairro'') in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Marcelo Pereira Surcin (born 1 February 1971), known as Marcelinho Carioca, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He was noted for his accuracy from free-kicks, having scored 80 free kick goals in official matches during his career, the most by any player, earning him the nickname "Pé-de-Anjo" (Angel Foot). The most successful player ever to play for Corinthians, he has scored 206 goals in 420 matches from 1994 to 2001. Djalma Feitosa Dias (born 9 December 1970), known as Djalminha , is a Brazilian football pundit and retired professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder.
