Carl Wright (February 2, 1932 – May 19, 2007) was an American tap dancer, actor, and comedian whose late life acting credits included ''Soul Food'', '' Barbershop'', and ''Big Momma's House''. For several years, Wright teamed with Chicago radio legend Pervis Spann Pervis Spann (August 16, 1932 – March 14, 2022) was an American broadcaster, music promoter, and radio personality. He was a disc jockey on WVON and was influential in the development of blues music in Chicago, Illinois. Early life Spann was ..., playing a misguided and mischievous reverend on his Chicago television show "Blues and More". Born in Orlando, Florida, he toured as a tap dancer as a young man, and for a time performed as The Three-Leggers with a one-legged partner. The Rt. Rev. Carl Wright is an American clergyman who served as bishop for Armed Services and Federal Ministries in the Episcopal Church in the United States from 2017 to 2022. Carl Da Costa Wright (born 17 September 1977) is a Jamaican born American former cricketer. Wright was a right-handed batsman who played occasionally as a wicket-keeper. Wright represented the United States national cricket team from 2006 to 2011. Jamaica Wright made his first-class debut for Jamaica against Barbados in 1998. From 1998 to 2000 Wright represented Jamaica in 11 first-class matches, with his final match coming against the Leeward Islands. In his 11 first-class matches he scored 379 at a batting average of 18.95, with two half centuries and a high score of 95 * against the Windward Islands.
