Carl Otto Løvenskiold
Carl Otto Løvenskiold (23 December 1839 – 1 October 1916) was a Norwegian naval officer, business executive and landowner. He served as the Norwegian prime minister in Stockholm during 1884. By birth, he is a member of Løvenskiold family, Løvenskiold noble family. Biography Løvenskiold was born in Christiania (now Oslo), Norway on 23 December 1839. He was the son of Otto Joachim Løvenskiold (1811-1882) and Julie Caroline Helene Wedel-Jarlsberg (1815-1840). His father was a Supreme Court of Norway, Supreme Court Attorney and mayor of Christiania. He attended Oslo Cathedral School, Christiania Cathedral School, became a sea cadet at Frederiksvern and a second lieutenant in the Royal Norwegian Navy in 1859. In 1868 Løvenskiold was promoted to first lieutenant. In 1875, he resigned from naval service. Carl Otto Reventlow (actually ''Karl arlChristian Otto''; born 1817 in Store Heddinge (Denmark); died in 1873) became notable as the developer of a mnemonic system. He took the ''nom de plume'' Reventlow to distinguish himself from journalists with the same family name. There is, despite a personal acquaintance to some members to the Reventlow family of old Holstein-Mecklenburg nobility through his studies at university of Kiel, no family relation. Otto took up studies in philology at the University of Copenhagen and the University of Kiel. There he became a member of the student fraternity Corps Saxonia and made contact to political circles and started first publications. Later he focused on the art of memory enhancement. Carl Otto Von Madai
Carl Otto von Madai (March 23, 1809 – June 4, 1850) was a German law professor, politician, and statesman. Madai was born in Halle, and studied at the University of Halle. He became a lecturer there in 1832 and professor in 1835. He moved to the University of Dorpat in 1837, where he stayed until in 1843 he became a private secretary of Duchess Elisabeth von Nassau (died 1845). In 1845 he became Professor of Law at the University of Kiel, where he took part in the debates over the Schleswig-Holstein Question. He participated in the Frankfurt Parliament in 1848, and then became envoy of the provisional government of Schleswig-Holstein to the German Confederation. In 1849 he also became Professor of Law at the University of Freiburg, where he died in 1850. Carl Otto von Eicken (31 December 1873, Mülheim an der Ruhr – 29 June 1960, Heilbronn) was a German otorhinolaryngologist. Biography He studied medicine at the universities of Kiel, Geneva, Munich, Berlin, and Heidelberg, where he served as an assistant to surgeon Vincenz Czerny. He received his habilitation for laryngo-rhinology (1903) and otology (1909) at the University of Freiburg, and in 1911 became a full professor at the University of Giessen, where subsequently, he was named head of the newly constructed ear, nose, and throat clinic. In 1920/21 he served as university rector. In 1922 he succeeded Gustav Killian (a former teacher) at the University of Berlin, where he maintained a professorship up until 1950. Carl Otto Czeschka (22 October 1878, Vienna – 30 July, 1960, Hamburg) was an Austrian painter and graphic designer associated with the Wiener Werkstätte. Life Carl Otto Czeschka was half Bohemian and half Moravian origin. His father Wenzel Czeschka (''Vaclav Češka'', 1845–1915) was a master carpenter; and his mother Mathilde Hafner (1853–1883), working as a seamstress and embroiderer. Carl Otto Czeschka raised in Vienna under very poor background. Baron Carl Otto Mörner (22 May 1781 – 17 August 1868) was a Swedish courtier, and member of the Diet. He is chiefly remembered for his role in advocating for Frenchman Jean Baptiste Bernadotte's succession to the Swedish crown in 1810. Role in the succession to Charles XIII of Sweden In 1810 King Charles XIII of Sweden was childless and the crown prince Charles August had died of a stroke. Baron Mörner was then a lieutenant in the Uppland Regiment. Entirely on his own initiative, Mörner offered the succession to the Swedish crown to Bernadotte. Although the Swedish government, amazed at Mörner's effrontery, placed him under arrest, the candidature of Bernadotte gradually gained favor.
