Wilfredo Caraballo
Wilfredo Caraballo (born January 1, 1947, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico) is an American Democratic Party politician, who served in the New Jersey General Assembly from 1996 to 2008. He represented the 29th legislative district. Caraballo also served as the assembly's speaker pro tempore in the 2006–2008 legislative session, he was the parliamentarian from 2002 to 2006 and associate minority leader from 1998 to 2001. Background Caraballo received a B.A. from St. Joseph's Seminary and College in Philosophy (1969) and was awarded a J.D. from the New York University School of Law (1975). Early career Caraballo served on the South Orange, New Jersey Budget Advisory Committee from 1986 to 1987. He then served was a trustee of the South Orange-Maplewood School District Board of Education from 1987 to 1990. Edward Caraballo
Edward Caraballo (born c. 1961) is an American videographer and investigative photojournalist, specializing in covert photography. He was arrested in Afghanistan in 2004 while documenting the exploits of a vigilante group led by U.S. mercenary Jonathan "Jack" Idema. Caraballo was implicated as an associate of Idema and was charged with entering the country illegally (later dropped), running a private prison, and torture. He was sentenced to an eight-year prison term (later reduced on appeal to two years) and incarcerated in Afghanistan's Pul-e-Charkhi prison. Throughout his trial and imprisonment, Caraballo insisted that he was not involved in the alleged torture, and was officially embedded in what he believed was a legitimate military operation. While in prison, Caraballo sought to distance himself from Idema and eventually converted to Islam. José Caraballo (painter)
Jose Caraballo (born 1930 in Santurce, Puerto Rico) moved to New York City with his parents at the age of 14. In 1947 Jose studied graphics and sculpture in a Greenwich Village workshop. That same year he had the good fortune to meet the great Mexican artist Rufino Tamayo at the Rufino Tamayo Studio at the Brooklyn Museum of Art where Rufino Tamayo was teaching art. Jose Caraballo exhibited paintings in 1950 in Chicago. He then exhibited at the Oller-Campeche-Gallery in Puerto Rico, Galleria II, Galleria Tito, Allen Rich Galleries, Duncan Galleries in Paris, France, and many other Galleries throughout New York. Francisco Caraballo
Francisco Daniel Caraballo (born October 21, 1973) is a Venezuelan former professional baseball first baseman. He played for the Orix Buffaloes of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). Career Caraballo signed with the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball as an amateur free agent. He spent seven years in Minor League Baseball in the Astros' organization. He was promoted to the Class AA Texas League, but did not appear in MLB for the Astros, who released Caraballo during spring training in 2008. Caraballo signed with the Worcester Tornadoes of the Canadian-American Association, an independent baseball league, for the 2008 season. Caraballo played in the Kyushu Island League, an independent league in Japan, in 2009. Erwin Caraballo
Erwin José Caraballo Cabrera (born July 21, 1981 in Cumaná, Sucre) is an amateur Venezuelan Greco-Roman wrestler, who competes in the men's heavyweight category. He won two bronze medals for the 96 kg division at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Caraballo also defeated Mexico's Joel López for the gold medal in the same division at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Caraballo is a member of the wrestling team for La Puente Sporting Club, and is coached and trained by Milcho Radulovski. Caraballo Mountains
The Caraballo Mountains is a mountain range in the central part of Luzon island in the Philippines, situated between the Cordillera Central and Sierra Madre mountain ranges. The mountains serve as the location of the headwaters of the Cagayan River, the longest in the country.
