Captain Frodo (born 1976 in Haugesund, Norway), also known as “The Incredible Rubberman”, is a Guinness World Record breaking contortionist living in Australia. He is the son of a famous Norwegian magician known as “The Great Santini”. Frodo was born double jointed which means he can dislocate joints, he uses this as the basis for most of his acts. He has been performing since he was eight years old starting out as an assistant at his father’s magic show. He now performs solos acts in varieties around the globe. Career After working as a street performer, Captain Frodo joined the cast of "The Kamikaze Freakshow" in 1998. Two years later in 2000 started the Australian freak show "The Happy Sideshow" with Space Cowboy, Shep Huntly and Tigerlil. Sword swallowing is a skill in which the performer passes a sword through the mouth and down the esophagus to the stomach. This feat is not swallowing in the traditional sense. The natural processes that constitute swallowing do not take place, but are repressed to keep the passage from the mouth to the stomach open for the sword. The practice is dangerous and there is risk of injury or death. History Sword swallowing spread to Greece and Rome in the 1st century AD and to China in the 8th century. David Straitjacket
David Straitjacket (born July 1977), is a British escape artist most notable for his television appearances, and world record attempts. Biography and history He was born in Oldham, Greater Manchester, but grew up in nearby Ashton-under-Lyne, and began performing in the circus as a juggler at the age of 16. Following that he founded his own circus in which he performed as an acrobat, tightrope walker and trapeze artist. In 1999 he returned to his first love of escapology and sideshow performance, developing his own daredevil escapology style, for which he is now well known; this both amongst other escapologists, and by the public as a whole.
