Captain Apollo
Captain Apollo is a fictional character in the ''Battlestar Galactica'' franchise. He was first played by Richard Hatch, who would also later appear as the character of Tom Zarek in the reimagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' series in 2005. Apollo is a Viper spacefighter pilot of the Battlestar ''Galactica'', and the son of Commander Adama. (A diary entry from Adama in one of the novelizations based on the original television series says that he was named for one of Adama's squadron mates from his time aboard the battlestar ''Cerberus''.) His sister is Lieutenant Athena, and his mother was Ila. Apollo's history has been marred by tragedy. The loss of the Twelve Colonies deprived him of not only his home, but many of his personal relationships. His brother Zac was shot down by a Cylon ambush. Lee Adama
Leland Joseph "Lee" Adama (callsign "Apollo") is a fictional character in the television series ''Battlestar Galactica''. He is portrayed by actor Jamie Bamber, and is one of the main characters in the series. His first appearance was in ''Battlestar Galactica'' miniseries. Character biography Early life Lee Adama was born to William Adama, a veteran of the First Cylon War, and his wife, Carolanne Adama. He also had a younger brother, Zak Adama. ''Galactica 1980'' is an American science fiction television series and a spin-off from the original '' Battlestar Galactica'' television series. It was first broadcast on ABC in the United States from January 27 to May 4, 1980, lasting for 10 episodes. Development A massive write-in campaign began upon the cancellation of the original '' Battlestar Galactica''. Because letter writing campaigns in favor of restoring cancelled television programs were uncommon in 1979, it prompted ABC to re-think their reasons for canceling the show. After some deliberation, they contacted Glen A. Larson to see about reviving the series, albeit in some modified and less expensive format. Patrick Macnee
Daniel Patrick Macnee (6 February 1922 – 25 June 2015) was a British film and television actor. After serving in the Royal Navy during World War II, he began his acting career in Canada. Lieutenant Starbuck of the Colonial Service, played by Dirk Benedict, is a fictional character in the 1978 science fiction television series ''Battlestar Galactica.'' Starbuck is a Viper starfighter pilot, gambler, womanizer and smoker of "fumerellos" (cigars). He is involved with Lieutenant Athena and socialator Cassiopeia, and best friend of Captain Apollo. Serina is the name of a fictional character in the 1978 ''Battlestar Galactica'' television series. Portrayed by Jane Seymour, Serina was a famous news reporter in the Twelve Colonies. She and her son, Boxey, survived the attack on the colonies. Serina has no direct analog on the reimagined ''Battlestar Galactica''. ''Battlestar Galactica'' Serina was introduced as she was broadcasting coverage of the Peace Conference that was supposed to end the 1,000 yahren Cylon War.
