Capstan (band)
Capstan is an American post-hardcore band from Orlando, Florida. To date, the band has released six EPs and two studio albums. The band was formerly signed to Adventure Cat Records, and is currently signed to Fearless Records. History Early years and EPs (2012–2016) Capstan formed in March 2012. On April 20, 2013, the band self-released ''Growing Deaf'', a split EP with the band Priorities. Capstan recorded their half of the EP in their house, and had it mastered by John Naclerio at NADA Studios. On December 2, 2014, Capstan self-released their second EP, ''Seasonal Depression''. On November 15, 2015, the band self-released an acoustic EP, ''Parting Gifts''. ''Parting Gifts'' was recorded and mixed at Torch & Star Studios, and was mastered at NADA Studios. On July 19, 2016, Capstan self-released their fourth EP, ''Cultural Divide''. Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. They have released a total of 11 studio albums, seven EPs, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD. Their lineup had remained unchanged for eleven years since December 2001, consisting of lead vocalist Shane Told, lead guitarist Neil Boshart, rhythm guitarist Josh Bradford, bassist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler. Emo is a rock music genre characterized by emotional, often confessional lyrics. ''When Broken Is Easily Fixed'' is the debut studio album by Canadian post-hardcore band Silverstein, released in 2003 under the label Victory Records. Background and recording Forming in early 2000, Silverstein released two EPs, '' Summer's Stellar Gaze'' (2000) and ''When the Shadows Beam'' (2002). The second EP caught the attention of Victory Records, who announced that they had signed the band on October 22, 2002. ''When Broken Is Easily Fixed'' was recorded at Mount Fairview and Unity Gain between January and February 2003 with producer Justin Koop. Koop engineered and mixed the album; Koop was assisted by engineer Rob Turri at Mount Fairview. Rainer Tan provided violin, while Shane Told and Richard McWalter supplied additional guitar. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013.
