''Capital Kings'' is the first studio album by Christian electronic pop band Capital Kings. The album was released on January 8, 2013 and with Gotee Records. Three songs on ''Capital Kings'' were released on their EP '' I Feel So Alive'' on September 25, 2012. Reception Commercial The album was the No. 141 most sold album in the United States on the January 19, 2013 ''Billboard'' 200 music chart, and was the No. 5 most sold Christian album in the country that same week. Critical ''Capital Kings'' has received positive reception from seven of eight music critics. At ''CCM Magazine'', Matt Conner told that the release matches "the energy and appeal of their flagship artist", and he found that having "guests like Britt Nicole, and Royal Tailor will keep fans interested in the entire package." Capital Kings
Capital Kings was an American pop, EDM and Christian pop act. The group went on indefinite hiatus on January 3, 2018. The group originally consisted of producer and rapper Cole Walowac and singer Jon White, who was later replaced by Dylan Housewright. History Jon White and Cole Walowac formed Capital Kings while still living in their hometown of Washington D.C. ''CCM Magazine'' is a twice-monthly online magazine focusing on contemporary Christian music, published by Salem Publishing, a division of Salem Communications. History ''CCM'' was first published in July 1978, as a printed magazine. It has been owned by Salem since 1999. On January 16, 2008, Salem announced that the April 2008 issue would be the final printed issue of the magazine, which would continue in an online-only format. When the magazine was first published, it was called ''Contemporary Christian Music'' and covered that music genre. The name was later shortened to ''CCM'', which was still an acronym for "Contemporary Christian Music". Gotee Records is a record label founded by Christian hip hop performer Toby McKeehan (known professionally as ''TobyMac''), Todd Collins, and Joey Elwood. The label began as a production company. At the time of the label's founding, McKeehan was a member of dc Talk. Formation of Gotee McKeehan and Collins intended to produce Out of Eden's ''Lovin' the Day'', but they couldn't find a label to sign the act to, and so formed Gotee Records and began distributing the band's material on their own. The label was a part of EMI Christian Music Group. However, they bought back EMI's minority share to become fully independent again as of March 31, 2008. Toby McKeehan is currently the president of the company and as of 2009, the label is currently distributed by Warner Bros. Records. Royal Tailor was an American Christian pop rock band. The group disbanded in 2015. History Royal Tailor was started by Tauren Wells, DJ Cox, Jeremy Guzman, and Blake Hubbard while they were attending Indiana Bible College in 2004. Jarrod Ingram, who attended Gateway College of Evangelism (now Urshan College), joined later. After hearing Royal Tailor's music, Leeland and Jack Mooring passed along the band's EP to Jason McArthur, Vice President of A&R of Provident Music Group, who signed them to a record deal.
