Capital Hotel is a small 5-star hotel in London, England. It is located at 22–24 Basil Street, Knightsbridge, and is known to have been visited by The Queen. It was established by David Levin in April 1971. Interior The Capital Hotel is a townhouse hotel with 49 individually designed rooms. It features the work of designers such as Nina Campbell and David Linley. The Capital is known for its classic English style, and has eight suites and a two floor penthouse. Restaurant In 1974 the hotel's restaurant, The Capital Restaurant, was one of the first three hotel restaurants in London to achieve a Michelin Star under chefs Richard Shepherd and Brian Turner. In 2001 it earned a second star under Éric Chavot. Other notable chefs who have worked there include Gary Rhodes and Paul Merrett. The restaurant lost its stars after Chavot's departure in 2009. Capital Hotel (Little Rock, Arkansas)
The Capital Hotel is a historic hotel at 111 West Markham Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a four-story brick building with an elaborately decorated Victorian front facade. Its ground level window bays are articulated by Corinthian pilasters, and the tall second and third floor windows are set in round-arch openings with Ionic pilasters between. The fourth floor windows are set in segmented-arch openings with smaller Corinthian pilasters. The hotel was, when it opened in 1876, the grandest in the city, and the building is still a local landmark. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It was founded in 1853, making it (along with SmithGroup) the oldest continually operating architecture firm in the United States that is not a wholly owned subsidiary. The firm began under the name ''Rogers, Whitestone & Co., Architects'', changing its name to ''Henry Whitestone'' in 1857, to ''D.X. Murphy & Brother'' in 1890, and to ''Luckett & Farley'' in 1962.
