Canyon High School is a high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District in Canyon Country, Santa Clarita, California. History The school opened in September 1968 in three phases at a cost of $3.6 million. It started with five buildings and a library, with administrative offices in portable buildings. C.T. Haan was both the first principal and superintendent of the Hart School District. Academics Canyon High School has an academic program with emphasis on preparation for higher education. All preparatory courses required by the University of California and other institutions of higher learning are offered. Priese Prince Lamont "Printz" Board (born September 11, 1982) is an American record producer, songwriter, and singer best known for his work with Black Eyed Peas and being a member of the production group Bucky Johnson. West Ranch High School is a public high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District located in Stevenson Ranch, California. The school mascot is the Wildcat, and navy blue and gold are the school's official colors. ''The Paw Print'' is the school's official newspaper. During its first year of operation (2004-2005 school year), the school was located on the campus of Rancho Pico Junior High School, housing only 9th grade students and faculty. Castaic High School (CHS) is a high school in the unincorporated community of Castaic, California, in the Santa Clarita Valley. It is part of the William S. Hart Union High School District. The school officially opened in August 2019. History On March 28, 2018, the William S. Hart Union High School District named Melanie Hagman as the first principal of Castaic High School, its newest campus. Newhall is the southernmost and oldest community in the city of Santa Clarita, California. Prior to the 1987 consolidation of Canyon Country, Saugus, Newhall, and Valencia into the city of Santa Clarita, it was an unincorporated area.
