Canton Of Les Herbiers
The canton of Les Herbiers is an administrative division of the Vendée department, western France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Les Herbiers. The cantons of France are territorial subdivisions of the France, French Republic's Departments of France, departments and Arrondissements of France, arrondissements. Apart from their role as organizational units in relation to certain aspects of the administration of public services and justice, the chief purpose of the cantons today is to serve as Constituency, constituencies for the election of members of the representative assemblies established in each of France's territorial departments (Departmental council (France), departmental councils, formerly general councils). For this reason, such elections were known in France as "cantonal elections", until 2015 when their name was changed to "departmental elections" to match the departmental councils' name. Mouchamps
Mouchamps () is a Communes of France, commune in the Vendée Departments of France, department in the Pays de la Loire Regions of France, region in western France. The grave of the noted French prime minister, Georges Clemenceau, is located near Mouchamps at the small hamlet of Le Colombier. It may be reached by following the D28 road from the center of Mouchamps northeastward approximately two and one-half miles to a road on the right signposted as "La Brachetiere", "La Monceliere", and "Colombier". Very shortly after that initial right turn, the route takes a further right turn at the sign marked "Tombeau de Clemenceau". A separate sign says "Colombier", and the route continues on that road for approximately one and one-half miles.
