Canterbury Effect
Canterbury Effect is a four-piece indie rock band based in Brazil, Indiana. The band has released three records. 2001's full length '' An Exercise in Humility'' was produced by Ed Rose and released through Pluto Records, as was 2003's EP '' Every Piece of Me''. Four years later, ''We Are All Dogs'' was released through Crossroads of America Records. The album was recorded over a year and a half at Jon Hook's studio, Artisan Recordings, in Brazil, Indiana. Brazil, Indiana
Brazil is a city in Clay County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,912 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Clay County. It is part of the Terre Haute Metropolitan Statistical Area. The current chief executive of Brazil is Mayor Brian Wyndham (Democrat). History In the 1840s, the owners of the farm which would later originate the city of Brazil decided to name their farm after the country of Brazil, because that country was often the subject of news at the time. The city was founded in 1866 under the name of that farm. As of now, Brazil is a part of the Terre Haute Metropolitan Statistical Area. Clay county, which was formed in 1825, originally had Bowling Green as its county seat; the county seat was relocated to Brazil in 1876, following the city's incredible development. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. It was initially inspired by post-punk and noise rock. Like post-punk, the term has been applied to a broad constellation of groups. Pluto Records is a record label started in 1999 by Eric Shirey and Brian Cobbel. Since 2002, it has been owned and operated by Brian Cobbel and based near Dallas, TX. It is primarily known for punk, metal and hardcore releases, although not exclusively. The label has been home and launching pad to such bands as Grammy-nominated metal act As I Lay Dying, HORSE the band, Luti-Kriss ( Norma Jean), Society's Finest and more.
