Cantabrian Football Federation
The Cantabrian Football Federation ( es, Federación Cántabra de Fútbol; FCF) is the body responsible for managing association football in the Cantabria autonomous region. Its offices are in Santander. History The federation was officially created on 8 April 1923, after several reunions in the previous year to establish a regional championship happened. Domingo Solís was elected as its first president. The first regional championship took place during the 1922–23 season, with Racing de Santander being crowned champions. Santander () is the capital of the autonomous community and historical region of Cantabria situated on the north coast of Spain. It is a port city located east of Gijón and west of Bilbao with a population of 172,000 (2017). It is believed to have been a port since ancient times, due to its favorable location, and is documented as far back as the 11th century. Much of the medieval city was lost in the Great Fire of 1941. Today, its remaining old town, beach and other attractions are popular with tourists and other visitors and its economy is mainly service based. Cantabria (, also , , Cantabrian: ) is an autonomous community in northern Spain with Santander as its capital city. Tercera División
Tercera División ( en, Third Division) was the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system. Founded in 1929, it was below the ''Primera División'' (also known as La Liga), the ''Segunda División'', and the semi-professional ''Segunda División B''. For the 2021–22 season, Tercera División was replaced by Tercera División RFEF, which became the fifth tier due to the creation of a new, semi-professional third division by the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Spanish federation (RFEF) called the Primera División RFEF. Copa Federación De España (Cantabria Tournament)
The Cantabria tournament is the previous round of the Copa RFEF in Cantabria. Organized by the Cantabrian Football Federation, the Cantabrian teams in Segunda División B and the best teams of the Tercera División (Group 3) not qualified to the Copa del Rey play this tournament, including farm teams. It is usually played between July and October, and the champion of the tournament qualifies to the National tournament of the Copa RFEF. Racing de Santander B is the team with most titles. Format Since 2014, the tournament is played by the eight best teams that did not qualify to Copa del Rey. It is played by a knockout system with single-game series, and the final is played at Campos de Sport de El Sardinero, in Santander. The winner receives a €3,000 prize and every team earns €500 per game played. The Copa Real Federación Española de Fútbol, popularly known as the Copa Federación (Federation Cup) or Copa RFEF, is a Spanish football competition for teams from the Segunda División B, the Tercera División and sometimes from the Preferente Regional who have failed to qualify or have been eliminated in the first round of the Copa del Rey. The current Copa Federación, created in 1994, is not considered by the RFEF the same as the original one. Liga Nacional Juvenil De Fútbol
The Liga Nacional Juvenil is the second level of the Spanish football league system for youth players 19 years old and under. It is administered by the RFEF and regional football federations. Currently the Liga Nacional has seventeen regional groups plus four groups from the autonomous region of the Canarias. Each Liga Nacional group has 16 to 18 teams with the winner (except for the 2nd or B teams) of each group promoted to the División de Honor and the last three placed teams are relegated to their respective regional group.
