Canoe Sprint At The 2015 European Games
Canoeing was contested at the 2015 European Games between 14 and 16 June 2015. No canoe slalom events were held in Baku. A total of fifteen medal events were held, three for men only in canoe, and 12 events in kayak across both genders, all on flat water. Despite the sport being described in official literature as ''canoe sprint'', in line with Olympic practice, a canoe marathon, a 5000-metre non-Olympic event, was included for each gender. Qualification Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) is restricted to one boat per event, a maximum of fifteen boats, and therefore a maximum of 26 qualified athletes. Azerbaijan, as host, is guaranteed entry of three athletes, in three boats; K1-1000 metres and C1-1000 metres for men, and the K1-500 metres for women. Kur Sport And Rowing Centre

Ilya Alekseyevich Pervukhin (russian: Илья Алексеевич Первухин; born 6 July 1991) is a Russian canoeist who has won medals at Olympic, World and European level. Career Pervukhin made his international debut at the 2010 European Championship. He won the bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the C-2 1000 m event, alongside Alexey Korovashkov. At the 2013 World Championships, Pervukhin and Viktor Melantyev won the silver medal in the C2 1000 m. In 2014, Pervukhin competed in both the senior and U23 World and European Championships. He won gold at the U23 European Championships and the U23 World Championships in the C2 1000 m, and gold in the C4 1000 m at the senior World Championships. Ronald Rauhe
Ronald Rauhe (born 3 October 1981) is a German sprint canoeist who has competed since 1997. Competing in six Summer Olympics, he won a complete set of medals in the K-2 500 m event (gold: 2004, silver: 2008, bronze: 2000). Rauhe has won 16 world championship gold medals, the most by a male kayaker; now with 26 World medals, in 2011 he exceeded the 20 of his compatriot, Torsten Gutsche. Marko Novaković ( sr-cyr, Марко Новаковић, born 4 January 1989) is a Serbian sprint canoer. He won a gold medal in the K-1 200 m event at the 2012 Canoe Sprint European Championships in Zagreb, and the K-2 200 m in 2016. He also won silver in that event in 2015. He won the gold medal in the K-2 200 m at the 2014 World Championships, and bronze in that event at the 2015 World Championships. Fernando Ismael Fernandes Pimenta (, born 13 August 1989) is a Portuguese sprint canoeist who has won multiple medals at the Olympic Games, World and European championships. At club level, he represents Benfica. Career Pimenta has competed since the late 2000s.
