Cannonball (Australian Game Show)
''Cannonball'' is an Australian reality television game show that premiered on the Seven Network on 27 September 2017. It is hosted by Tim Ross and Ben Mingay, along with Rachael Finch and features contestants competing with celebrities. The water-based game show involves 15 couples competing on a lake attempting to jump the highest, slide the furthest and fly the highest. The format for the show is a franchise that originated in the Netherlands by Talpa. The four-episode series is produced by ITV Studios Australia and filmed at the Sydney International Regatta Centre in Penrith, New South Wales, in Sydney's western suburbs. Talpa Network is a Dutch media conglomerate created by John de Mol Jr. in 2017. History Talpa Network was created in 2017 by John de Mol when he merged all his various media assets, De Mol wanted to create a Dutch media conglomerate that could stand against foreign media companies entering the Dutch market. Talpa Holding and Sanoma acquired SBS Broadcasting in 2011, the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets forced De Mol to sell his minority stake in RTL Nederland. Tien (TV Channel)
Tien (meaning '' Ten'' in Dutch), previously known as Talpa, was the name of a commercial television channel in the Netherlands. Tien opened on August 13, 2005 as Talpa, following a name dispute with SBS Broadcasting. SBS owned the trademark " TV10" and objected to the use of the word Tien. The owner of Tien, Dutch media mogul John de Mol, decided to rebrand the channel as ''Talpa'', the Latin word for "mole", which is ''mol'' in Dutch. Subsequently Talpa became the name of De Mol's holding company. In the first months Talpa shared its channel space with Nickelodeon.
