Cankurtaran Railway Station
Cankurtaran is an indefinitely closed railway station on the Istanbul suburban, in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located in the neighborhood of Cankurtaran in the historic peninsula of İstanbul. The station is located on Şadırvan Street. Cankurtaran is just a block north of Kennedy Boulevard, along with the shoreline and a few blocks south of the Hagia Sophia and the Imperial Gate to the Topkapı Palace. The station was built in 1955 by the Turkish State Railways to be used by commuter trains operating between Sirkeci and Halkalı.''Milliyet'' - 4 December 1955 Cankurtaran is located from Sirkeci Terminal. Turkish State Railways
The State Railways of the Republic of Turkey ( tr, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları), abbreviated as TCDD, is a government-owned national railway company responsible with the ownership and maintenance of railway infrastructure in Turkey, as well as the planning and construction of new lines. Fatih () is a district of and a municipality (''belediye'') in Istanbul, Turkey, and home to almost all of the provincial authorities (including the governor's office, police headquarters, metropolitan municipality and tax office) but not the courthouse. Kennedy Avenue
Kennedy Avenue ( tr, Kennedy Caddesi) is a -long avenue in Istanbul, Turkey that travels southwest from Sirkeci district to Bakırköy District and most importantly to the Atatürk Airport. The avenue is named for the 35th U.S. President, John F. Kennedy. Route The course of the road roughly follows the old Sea Walls of the city. After starting next to Sirkeci station in central Istanbul, Kennedy Avenue runs eastwards along the south side of the Golden Horn near its mouth. Marmaray
The Marmaray () is a intercontinental commuter rail line in Istanbul, Turkey. A rail tunnel running under the Bosphorus strait was connected to an upgraded version of the old suburban train service (known as the banliyö), allowing trains to run all the way from Halkalı on the European side of the city to Gebze on the Asian side.
