Cangas Left Alternative (''Alternativa Canguesa de Esquerda'' in Galician language; ACE) is a coalition of 3 political parties and various independents in the municipality of Cangas, Pontevedra. History In the municipal elections of May 27, 2007 ACE gained 1,890 votes, the 13.1% of the total vote, and three councilors out of a total of 21. ACE supported and participated in a government of the Galician Nationalist Bloc (BNG) and the Socialists' Party of Galicia (PSdG). On January 28, 2010 ACE broke the agreement (in a decision that was taken in an open assembly) due to the supposed attacks of the BNG against the elected representatives of ACE. The Galician People's Front ( gl, Frente Popular Galega) is a Galician political organization with a socialist and independentist ideology. History After the Galician People's Union (UPG) accepted the participation of the Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG) in the Galician Parliament in 1986, 13 members of its Central Committee led by Mariano Abalo and Xan Carballo left the party and created the Communist Collective. On 25 July 1986, the group was transformed into the Communist Party of National Liberation (PCLN). Later, the 3rd National Assembly of the BNG expelled the group because they gave support to Herri Batasuna. In 1987, PCLN and Galiza Ceibe-OLN, along with other small organizations, created the FPG. Son (political Party)
SON is a Galician political party created in 2015, promoted by Renewal–Nationalist Brotherhood (Anova) and United Left to participate in the local elections of the same year. Its purpose is to provide legal support to those groups that, for legal reasons, had no possibility to run in the elections of their municipality.
