Cane Hill (band)
Cane Hill is an American heavy metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2011. The band consists of vocalist Elijah Witt, guitarist James Barnett, bassist Ryan Henriquez, and drummer Devin Clark. In 2015, the band signed to Rise Records, releasing their debut self-titled EP, ''Cane Hill''. In 2016, the band released their debut full-length studio album, ''Smile''. On January 19, 2018, their sophomore album ''Too Far Gone'', was released, again via Rise Records. ''Too Far Gone'' was critically acclaimed, featuring the singles "Too Far Gone, "It Follows", "Lord of Flies" and "10¢". In late 2019, the band left Rise Records and became independent. As of 2021, the band has released two studio albums: ''Smile'' (2016) and ''Too Far Gone'' (2018), and three EPs: ''Cane Hill'' (2014), ''Kill the Sun'' (2019) and ''Krewe de la Mort Vol. 1'' (2021). Nu Metal
Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal, sometimes called aggro-metal) is a subgenre of that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, and grunge. Nu metal bands have drawn elements and influences from a variety of musical styles, including multiple genres of heavy metal. Nu metal rarely features guitar solos or other displays of technical competence; the genre is heavily syncopated and based on guitar riffs. Metalcore
Metalcore (also known as metallic hardcore) is a fusion music genre that combines elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. As with other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Other defining instrumental qualities include heavy riffs and stop-start rhythm guitar playing, occasional blast beats, and double bass drumming. Drew Fulk (born May 1, 1987), also known as WZRD BLD, is an American songwriter and record producer based in Los Angeles. He has worked with artists such as Disturbed, Lil Peep, Lil Wayne, Motionless in White, Kim Dracula, Highly Suspect and Illenium, and has over ten #1 Billboard Rock to his name. He also started and currently runs his own publishing company, In the Cut Publishing, through APG. Biography Early years Fulk was born in Kernersville, North Carolina, where he attended Wesleyan Christian Academy in High Point. After high school he was accepted into the Bryan Business School at UNCG, majoring in Economics. During this time he built and opened his first recording studio, Think Sound. Tyler Joseph Acord (born September 12, 1990), also known by his stage name Lophiile and formerly known as Scout, is an American record producer, DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter born in Lakewood, Washington. He is a member of the English-American R&B group Radiant Children and is a former member of the American metalcore band Issues. Cane Hill Hospital was a psychiatric hospital in Coulsdon in the London Borough of Croydon. The site is owned by GLA Land and Property. History The hospital has its origins as the third Surrey County Pauper Lunatic Asylum, designed by Charles Henry Howell and built in two stages between 1882 and 1888. The design which involved a 'radiating pavilion' layout was original. The hospital was taken over by London County Council in 1889. The hospital took in a large number of discharged mentally ill servicemen during the First World War, the earliest patient recorded being admitted in 1915 but later discharged to another hospital in 1923. Records for nearly 40 such service patients – some of whom died and were interred in the hospital cemetery – have been found. It was renamed the Cane Hill Mental Hospital in 1930.
