TV2, formerly Canal Algérie (), in English means ''The Algerian channel'', is the second Algerian general public national television channel. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 (a rectangular TV that is wider than it is tall), so the 1080 lines of vertical resolution implies 1920 columns of horizontal resolution, or 1920 pixels × 1080 lines. Digital terrestrial television (DTTV or DTT, or DTTB with "broadcasting") is a technology for terrestrial television in which land-based (terrestrial) television stations broadcast television content by radio waves to televisions in consumers' residences in a digital format. DTTV is a major technological advance over the previous analog television, and has largely replaced analog which had been in common use since the middle of the 20th century. ''Caméra Café'' is a French-born concept of comedy television series exported around the world. Two movie spin-offs have been made in France under the titles of ''Espace détente'' and ''Le Séminaire''. It was originally a French television show created by Bruno Solo, Yvan Le Bolloc'h, and Alain Kappauf and it was broadcast from September 2001 to December 2004 on the M6 channel. 700 episodes of 3 minutes each have been produced and were broadcast again on M6 in 2004. Beur TV
Beur TV is a French television station mostly addressed to France's Maghrebi communities ( Algerians, Moroccans and Tunisians). It is broadcast through cable and offered on ADSL. The community-based television station was licensed through the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel (CSA) in France on 8 January 2002. The chain started broadcasting on 1 April 2003, and was owned by Algerian-French Nacer Kettane, who was also owner of Beur FM radio station. The chain developed partnerships with various Maghrebi media to cover important events in those countries, most notably ENTV (Algeria), RTM and 2M (Morocco) and ERTT (Tunisia). In July 2011, and after the station suffered financial difficulties, Nacer Kettane sold 80% of the enterprise to VOXALGERIE.
