Canal 9 (Denmark)
Canal 9 is a Danish pay television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA previously owned by C More Entertainment from 2009 to 2015. The channel is a retro channel that shows older documentary series from the Discovery Channel and old action and comedy series like ''Miami Vice'', ''The A-Team'', ''Magnum, P.I.'' and ''M*A*S*H'' and with football in the weekends from Danish Superliga plus UEFA Europa League. The channel share sports rights with Eurosport and 6'eren; it was original launched as a low-pay sister channel to Canal+ in July 2009. History The channel was announced on March 20, 2009. There had been some uncertainty as for the distribution for the channel, as neither YouSee nor Telia Stofa and Boxer had expressed interest in distributing the channel. Canal+ (Canal Plus, , meaning 'Channel Plus'; sometimes abbreviated C+ or Canal) is a French premium television channel launched in 1984. It is 100% owned by the Groupe Canal+, which in turn is owned by Vivendi. The channel broadcasts several kinds of programming, mostly encrypted. Unencrypted programming can be viewed free of charge on Canal+ and on satellite on Canal+ Clair (Clear). The channel does not broadcast advertising, except when broadcasting on free-to-air slots. EFL Championship
The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. Canal Digital
Canal Digital was a Nordic pay TV and internet service provider in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland that was founded in March 1997 as a joint venture between the French pay TV company Canal+ and the Norwegian telecommunications operator Telenor. The number of customers in 2017 was 838,000. From 2003 to 2020, Canal Digital was fully owned by Telenor. In 2004, Telenor Avidi was merged into Canal Digital and changed its name to Canal Digital cable television. In 2020, Canal Digital formed a joint venture with Viasat to form the company Allente. The merger was completed on April 13, 2021.
