The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA), branded as Cycling Canada (CC) ( French: ''Cyclisme Canada'' (''CC'')) is the national governing body of cycle racing in Canada. Sylvia Burka
Sylvia Burka ( lv, Silvija Burka; born May 4, 1954, in Winnipeg, Manitoba) is a former ice speed skater and track cyclist from Canada of Latvian descent, who represented her native country at three consecutive Winter Olympics, starting in 1972 in Sapporo, Japan. She was the first person in history to win a World Championship in both Allround and Sprint disciplines (1976 and 1977). She never won an Olympic medal, with her best Olympic result being the fourth place in 1000 m in 1976. In 1977, she was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame. The Vélodrome National de Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines is a velodrome in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, France. Kelsey Marie Mitchell (born 26 November 1993) is a Canadian professional track cyclist, most proficient in the sprint event. Notable as a relative latecomer to the sport after commencing training at age 23, Mitchell is the 2020 Olympic champion, 2021 World bronze medallist, and 2019 Pan American Games champion in the individual sprint, as well as a five-time Pan American Track Cycling Championships gold medalist. Career Early career Mitchell played several different sports in her early life, including gymnastics, ringette, soccer, and basketball. Lionel James Sanders (born February 22, 1988) is a Canadian professional triathlete winner of the 2017 ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships.
