Canadian Western Agribition
Canadian Western Agribition, otherwise known as simply Agribition, is an annual agricultural trade show held at Evraz Place in Regina, Saskatchewan, typically held during the last week of November. The show won the 2013 and 2015 Saskatchewan Tourism Award of Excellence for Event of the Year. History The first Agribition show was held in Regina from November 30 to December 3, 1971, and has taken place every year since. Chris Sutter of Redvers, Saskatchewan was the first president of Canadian Western Agribition. Bill Small of Craven, Saskatchewan was the show's first vice-president. A book which chronicled the first 29 years of the show, titled ''Agribition'', was published in 1990. Agribition was to celebrate its 50th year in 2020; it was scheduled to be delayed slightly in order to accommodate the 108th Grey Cup, which was to be hosted by nearby Mosaic Stadium. Evraz Place
REAL District, formerly known as Evraz Place and Regina Exhibition Park, is a 102-acre (0.41 km2) sport complex and exhibition grounds in Regina, Saskatchewan, operated by the Regina Exhibition Association Limited (REAL). The area is home to Mosaic Stadium, an outdoor stadium and home of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Brandt Centre, an indoor arena and home of the Regina Pats. 108th Grey Cup
The 108th Grey Cup decided the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2021 season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 season was cancelled and the start of the 2021 season was delayed, pushing the game to December 12, 2021. The 108th Grey Cup was a rematch of the 107th Grey Cup in 2019 between the defending Grey Cup and West Division champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers and the East Division champion Hamilton Tiger-Cats, at Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario. The Blue Bombers defeated the Tiger-Cats 33–25 in overtime for their second straight title, making them the first team in 11 years to win two straight Grey Cups. Mosaic Stadium
Mosaic Stadium is an open-air stadium at REAL District in Regina, Saskatchewan. Announced on July 12, 2012, the stadium replaced Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field as the home field of the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders. It was designed by HKS, Inc., in joint venture with B+H, the architects of record. Preliminary construction on the new stadium began in early 2014, and it was declared "substantially complete" on August 31, 2016. The stadium is owned by the city of Regina and operated by the Regina Exhibition Association Ltd. (REAL). The 109th Grey Cup decided the Canadian Football League (CFL) championship for the 2022 season. The game was played on November 20, at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan. It marked the fourth Grey Cup game to be held in Regina, and the first to be held at the new Mosaic Stadium as opposed to Taylor Field.
