Gear Daddies
The Gear Daddies are a rock band originally from Austin, Minnesota. Randy Broughten (electric and steel guitar), Nick Ciola ( bass), Billy Dankert (drums and vocals), and Martin Zellar (guitar, harmonica and vocals) played their first shows together in 1984. They released singles and albums between 1986 and 1992 and became an important part of the Twin Cities music scene. Most songs were written by Zellar, but Dankert had several of note, including crowd favorite "Time Heals". In 1991, Zellar and Broughten played "Stupid Boy" on ''Late Night with David Letterman''. Ciola and Dankert did not play on the show because, at the time, many bands simply sat in with The World's Most Dangerous Band. ''Billy's Live Bait'' is the second album by Austin, Minnesota band the Gear Daddies, released in 1990. It was their first release for a major label. " (I Wanna Drive the) Zamboni" is often played at hockey rinks. Critical reception AllMusic called the album "sometimes poignant and often humorous." The Dells of the Wisconsin River, also called the Wisconsin Dells (from Old English dæle, modern English “dale”), meaning “valley”, is a 5-mile (8-km) gorge on the Wisconsin River in south-central Wisconsin, USA. It is noted for its scenic beauty, in particular for its unique Cambrian sandstone rock formations and tributary canyons. The formations are divided into the "Upper Dells" and the "Lower Dells" by the Kilbourn Dam. The cliffs, some over 100 feet (30 m) high, and side canyons are closed to the public to protect sensitive ecological features. The viewing of the rock formations by water is a popular tourist attraction in the area. Brooks & Dunn are an American country music duo consisting of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn, both of whom are vocalists and songwriters. The duo was founded in 1990 through the suggestion of Tim DuBois. A gear is a rotating circular machine part having cut teeth or, in the case of a cogwheel or gearwheel, inserted teeth (called ''cogs''), which mesh with another (compatible) toothed part to transmit (convert) torque and speed.
