''Can't Fly Without Gravity'' is the sixth studio album by Canadian rapper k-os. The album originally was to be released on August 28, 2015 through Dine Alone Records, but was pushed back until September 4, 2015. The entire album was released over Spotify prior to its release date. The album cover is a reference to the poster of the 1983 film ''Vacation''. Background Naming In an interview with Global News on August 26, 2015, k-os indicated that the title paralleled the negativity of "haters" to the downward force of gravity. In both situations, one must deal with these forces to go beyond them. He succinctly expressed the notion saying, "the forces which pull you down are simply put there to inspire you to rise above them." Kareem Blake (born March 27, 1975), better known by his stage name Choclair, is a Canadian rapper. He was one of the most successful Canadian rappers in Canada in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Choclair has been nominated for six Juno Awards, winning four. Career Blake, of Jamaican descent, was born in Scarborough, Ontario, in east Toronto. Karl Amani Wailoo (born March 6, 1978), better known by his stage name Saukrates (; "Socrates"), is a Canadian rapper, singer, and record producer. He is the co-founder of Capitol Hill Music, and lead singer of the hip-hop/ R&B group Big Black Lincoln. He is also a member of Redman's Gilla House collective. Kevin Brereton (born February 20, 1972), better known by his stage name k-os (; "chaos"), is a Canadian alternative rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. His given name may also be cited as Kheaven, a spelling he later adopted.
