Camus Celli
Camus Celli is an American songwriter, record producer and entrepreneur born in Savannah, Ga. He studied composition and production at Berklee College of Music before moving to New York to work as a freelance programmer for such music legends as Nile Rodgers and Keith Diamond Career After Writing and Producing UK soul sensation Mica Paris' 1991 second album '' Contribution'' album with Andres Levin, Celli signed his first publishing deal with Virgin Music and was later signed to EMI Publishing. In 2003 Camus developed singer songwriter Gavin DeGraw culminating in a deal with J Records, Gavin's first record ''Chariot'' went on to sell one million copies and earned platinum certification. J Records
J Records was an American record label owned and operated by Bertelsmann Music Group until it was transferred to Sony Music Entertainment when they acquired all of BMG’s record labels in late 2008. It was distributed through the RCA Music Group. The label was founded in 2000 by Clive Davis and was dissolved into RCA Records in 2011. Company history J Records was founded in 2000 by industry veteran Clive Davis with $150 million in financing from BMG, after his ousting from Arista Records the same year, and initially operated as an independently managed company distributed through BMG. Kemosabe Records is an American record label founded by American record producer and songwriter Dr. Luke and owned by Sony Music Entertainment. The label is based in Los Angeles, California. History In November 2011, Sony Music Entertainment announced a partnership with American record producer and songwriter Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald to launch his record label Kemosabe Records. The label jointly signs their artists with various labels under Sony, most predominantly RCA Records for their U.S. based artists. Gottwald was given the rights to hire his own staff, sign artists and develop talent, but he was only able to produce records for Sony artists until 2016. In April 2017, Sony distanced itself from the producer after singer Kesha accused him of rape. As of April 26, 2017, the Kemosabe website is no longer accessible. Deluka
Deluka are a British indie rock and new wave band. Originally formed in Birmingham in 2004, the band moved to Brooklyn, New York upon being signed by a US label. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Ellie Innocenti, programmer, producer and guitarist Kris Kovacs, bassist Robbie G, and drummer Stevie J. Palmer. Their first full length album, ''Broken Sleeping Patterns'', was released in 2008, which contained the song "Sleep is Impossible" that featured in the 2008 video game ''Grand Theft Auto IV''. Clive Jay Davis (born April 4, 1932) is an American record producer, A&R executive, record executive, and lawyer. ''Free'' is singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw's third album. The album was released on March 31, 2009. It was his final album for J Records. To keep himself from overthinking the songs, DeGraw made ''Free'' in less than two weeks at the Brooklyn studio of his producer Camus Celli, who has worked with such artists as Tina Turner, David Byrne, Lana Wolf and Arto Lindsay. ''Chariot'' is the debut studio album by singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, first released on July 22, 2003, on J Records. It was re-released in 2004 as ''Chariot (Stripped)'', which included all of the original ''Chariot'' content as well as a bonus disc. Gavin Shane DeGraw (born February 4, 1977) is an American singer-songwriter. DeGraw rose to fame with his song "I Don't Want to Be" from his debut album '' Chariot'' (2003); the song became the main theme song for The WB drama series ''One Tree Hill''. Other notable singles from his debut album were " Chariot" and " Follow Through". His second album, '' Gavin DeGraw'', was released in 2008 and included the top-20 single "In Love with a Girl". EMI Music Publishing Ltd. is a British multinational music publishing company headquartered in London, owned by parent company Sony Corporation of America. In May 2018, Sony Music Publishing agreed to increase its stake in EMI to 90%, pending regulatory approval.
