Campbell Cotts
Campbell Cotts (21 April 190219 February 1964) was a Cape Colony-born actor of British stage, film and television. A former barrister and a published poet, Cotts studied at Cambridge and fought in Second World War, attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant in the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment). His acting roles included a Broadway appearance opposite Katharine Hepburn in a revival of Shaw's ''The Millionairess'' at the Shubert Theatre in 1952. The title of Knight Bachelor is the basic rank granted to a man who has been knighted by the monarch but not inducted as a member of one of the organised orders of chivalry; it is a part of the British honours system. ''Stop Press Girl'' is a 1949 British fantasy comedy film directed by Michael Barry and starring Sally Ann Howes, Gordon Jackson, Basil Radford and Naunton Wayne; the latter two appearing in several different roles in the film. The Cotts Baronetcy, of Coldharbour Wood in the parish of Rogate in the County of Sussex, is a title in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom. It was created on 15 June 1921 for Sir William Cotts, KBE. William Cotts
Sir William Dingwall Mitchell Cotts, 1st Baronet, KBE (15 July 1871 – 20 January 1932) was a Scottish businessman and Liberal politician. Personal life and career Cotts was born at Sanquhar in Scotland, the son of William Cotts. He was educated privately and at Wallace Hall Academy. In 18 March 1901, he married Agnes Sloane who was also from Sanquhar and they had two sons and a daughter. Cotts obtained his early business training in Dumfries and London and went in 1895 to South Africa, where he developed important business interests, realising the potential of the Natal coalfields and the transport and other infrastructure that was needed to support the coal and gold mining industries. He also had business interests in Britain and was sometime head of Mitchell, Cotts & Co. of London. The company traded as general merchants, owned collieries and steamships. The Hour Of 13
''The Hour of 13'' is a 1952 British historical mystery film directed by Harold French and starring Peter Lawford, Dawn Addams and Roland Culver. It was made at Elstree Studios by the British subsidiary of MGM. The film's sets were designed by the German-born art director Alfred Junge.
