Cameron Rising
Cameron James Rising (born May 13, 1999) is an American football quarterback for the Utah Utes. He was the First-Team All-Pac-12 quarterback in 2021. High school career Rising attended Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, California. He committed to the University of Texas at Austin to play college football. College career Rising redshirted his only year at Texas in 2018. He transferred to the University of Utah in 2019. After redshirting his first year at Utah, Rising competed with Jake Bentley for the starting job in 2020. Although Bentley won the job, Rising was chosen to start against the USC Trojans. During the game, he completed three of six passes for 45 yards with an interception before suffering a shoulder injury which caused him to the miss the rest of the season. Rising returned from the injury to compete with Charlie Brewer for the starting job in 2021. Jake Bentley
Jacob Lane Bentley (born November 23, 1997) is an American football coach and former player who is currently the quarterbacks coach at the University of North Alabama. Bentley played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks, the Utah Utes, and the South Alabama Jaguars. Early years Bentley attended James F. Byrnes High School in Duncan, South Carolina as a freshman, where his father, Bobby Bentley, had been the head coach. He transferred to Opelika High School in Opelika, Alabama, after his father took a coaching role with the Auburn Tigers. As a junior, he passed for 2,834 yards and 28 touchdowns. Bentley reclassified and graduated early after his junior season after his father became a coach for the South Carolina Gamecocks. The 2022 Utah Utes football team represents the University of Utah as a member of the Pac-12 Conference during the 2022 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by 18th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham the Utes play their home games at Rice–Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. In the preseason polls released on July 28, Utah was picked to finish the season as the top team in the conference. The 2021 Utah Utes football team represented the University of Utah during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Utes were led by 17th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham and played their home games at Rice–Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City as members of the South Division of the Pac-12 Conference. Despite a rough start to the season and the death of players Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe, the Utes rallied and won their first Pac-12 championship since joining the conference in 2011, defeating the tenth-ranked Oregon Ducks, 38–10, in the conference championship game. The 2020 Utah Utes football team represented the University of Utah during the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Utes were led by 16th-year head coach Kyle Whittingham and played their home games at Rice–Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah, as members of the South Division of the Pac-12 Conference. On August 11, 2020, the Pac-12 suspended all fall sports competitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On September 24, the Pac-12 announced that football teams would return to play a seven-game conference-only season beginning on November 6, with the conference championship game scheduled for December 18. On December 18, with a 2–2 record and one game left to play, the Utes announced that they would not pursue a bid to a bowl game. The 2018 Texas Longhorns football team, known variously as "Texas", "UT", the "Longhorns", or the "Horns”, represented the University of Texas at Austin during the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
