Cameron Percy
Cameron Blair Percy (born 5 May 1974) is an Australian professional golfer. Percy was born in Chelsea, Victoria and turned professional in 1998. He joined the second-tier Nationwide Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) in 2005, but enjoyed little success and returned to Australia where he won twice on the developmental Von Nida Tour in 2006. Percy was back on the Nationwide Tour in 2008 and the following year finished in 8th place on the money list, having had eight top 10 finishes including two runner-up finishes, to graduate to the PGA Tour for 2010. Percy has since bounced back-and-forth between the PGA Tour and the Korn Terry Tour. He finished 168th on the FedEx Cup points list in 2010, 161st in 2011, and 158th in 2013. In 2014, he prevailed in a five-way playoff to win the Price Cutter Charity Championship on the Web.com Tour. Chelsea is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 30 km south-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Kingston local government area. The BMW Charity Pro-Am is a golf tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour. It is currently played at Thornblade Club (host course) in Greer, South Carolina and The Carolina Country Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina. From 1992 to 2000, the event was played at Verdae Greens Golf Club in Greenville. Tasmanian Open
The Tasmanian Open is an annual golf tournament held in Tasmania, Australia. History The Tasmanian amateur championship was first played in 1902 as a 36 hole stroke-play event. From 1910 the stroke-play acted as qualifying for a match-play stage, with the leading four players qualifying. In 1913 the 36 hole stroke-play event was opened up to professionals as well as amateurs and the winner became the Tasmanian Open champion. The first winner was an amateur, Eustace Headlam. This was the only event before World War I, the championship being revived in 1919 and was again won by Headlam. There was no Open championship between 1923 and 1929, the event again being restricted to amateurs. Aaron Townsend (born 4 July 1981) is an Australian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia. He has also played a number of events on the European Tour, Challenge Tour and Web.com Tour. Professional career Townsend turned professional in 2003. The Queensland PGA Championship is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. The tournament is currently held at Nudgee Golf Club in Nudgee. History The event was founded as the Queensland Professional Championship in 1926. The inaugural championship was played at Brisbane Golf Club in late November with 12 professionals competing. There was a 36-hole stroke-play stage with the leading 4 qualifying for the match-play. The 36-hole semi-finals were played the following day with the 36-hole final on the third day. Arthur Spence, the Royal Queensland professional, beat Jack Quarton, the Toowoomba professional, in the final. In 1927 the number of qualifiers was increased to 8, with the quarter and semi-finals played over 18 holes on the second day. Marc Leishman
Marc Leishman (born 24 October 1983) is an Australian professional golfer. He has won six times on the PGA Tour. In 2009 he won the Rookie of the Year award on the PGA Tour, the first Australian to win the award. Career Leishman was born in Warrnambool, Victoria. He had a very successful amateur career in Australia, winning many junior tournaments. He won the Warrnambool Club Championship as a 13-year-old while playing in the same group as his father. Steven Bowditch
Steven Bowditch (born 8 June 1983) is an Australian professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour of Australasia. Bowditch was born in Newcastle, New South Wales. He had a distinguished amateur career, which includes medalist honours at the 2001 Australian Amateur. Bowditch plays on the PGA Tour of Australasia and previously played on its developmental Von Nida Tour. He also plays in the United States, where he has alternated between the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour for varied success.
