Cameron Meyer
Cameron Meyer (born 11 January 1988) is an Australian former professional racing cyclist, who competed as a professional from 2009 to 2022. Career Born in Viveash, Western Australia, Meyer started cycling at the age of 13 in 2001 and first represented his country at the World Junior Track Championships in 2005. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Meyer won his first senior World Championship in the Points Race in Pruszków, Poland. In 2009 he was selected to ride the Giro d'Italia. He won the time-trial event at the 2010 Australian National Road Race Championships. Meyer's younger brother Travis Meyer is also a professional racing cyclist, and was one of 's first signings alongside Cameron and fellow Australian Jack Bobridge. 2018 Tour Of Britain
The 2018 Tour of Britain was an eight-stage men's professional Road bicycle racing, road cycling race. It was the fifteenth running of the modern version of the Tour of Britain and the 78th British tour in total. The 2010 national road cycling championships began in January in Australia and New Zealand. Most of the European national championships take place in June. The 2011 UCI Track Cycling World Championships was the World Championships for track cycling in 2011. The championships took place at the Omnisport Apeldoorn in Apeldoorn, Netherlands from 23 to 27 March 2011. The 2009 UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the World Championship for track cycling. They took place at the BGŻ Arena in Pruszków, Poland from 25 to 29 March 2009. UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the set of world championship events for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling. They are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Before 1900, they were administered by the UCI's predecessor, the International Cycling Association (ICA). Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and madison. Women's events are generally shorter than men's. Track Cycling
Track cycling is a bicycle racing sport usually held on specially built banked tracks or velodromes using purpose-designed track bicycles. History Track cycling has been around since at least 1870. When track cycling was in its infancy, it was held on velodromes similar to the ones used today. These velodromes consisted of two straights and slightly banked turns, though they varied more in length and material than the modern 250m track. One appeal of indoor track racing was that spectators could be easily controlled, and hence an entrance fee could be charged, making track racing a lucrative sport. Early track races attracted crowds of up to 2,000 people. Indoor tracks also enabled year-round cycling for the first time.
