Cameron Lawson
Cameron Lawson (born October 7, 1998) is a professional Canadian football defensive tackle for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Amateur career Lawson played U Sports football for the Queen's Gaels from 2016 to 2019. In his final year in 2019, he was named a U Sports Second Team All-Canadian at defensive tackle after recording 15.5 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Professional career Montreal Alouettes Lawson was ranked as the 14th best player in the Canadian Football League's Amateur Scouting Bureau final rankings for players eligible in the 2020 CFL Draft, and fourth by players in U Sports. 2022 CFL Draft
The 2022 CFL National Draft was a selection of National players by Canadian Football League (CFL) teams that took place on May 3, 2022, at 8:00 pm ET and was broadcast on TSN and RDS. 74 players were chosen from among eligible players from Canadian Universities across the country, as well as Canadian players playing in the NCAA. The draft was broadcast live on TSN for the first two rounds. The Labour Day Classic (french: Classique de la fête du travail, branded as OK Tire Labour Day Weekend for sponsorship reasons) is a week of the Canadian Football League (CFL) schedule played over the Labour Day weekend (which includes the first Monday in September). The 2021 Montreal Alouettes season was the 54th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 66th overall. The Alouettes qualified for the playoffs on November 5, 2021, after the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeated the BC Lions in week 14.
