Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark is a water park located in the Poconos in Tannersville, Pennsylvania at Big Pocono State Park. Opened in 1998, it is the summer operation for Camelback Mountain Resort, which is a skiing and snowboard resort during the winter. Attractions Camelbeach contains over 35 waterslides as well as many other attractions. Dry attractions * During the summer the ski lift, called the ''Sullivan Sky Ride'' is still open. It allows guests to observe wildlife as they ascend the mountain. Water attractions * The ''Blue Nile Adventure River'' is Camelbeach's lazy river. Riders can choose from single and double-rider tubes. It opened with the park in 1998. * The ''Olympic Pool'' is a full-size swimming pool. EPR Properties, formerly Entertainment Properties Trust, is a real estate investment trust based in Kansas City, Missouri, that invests in amusement parks, movie theaters, ski resorts, and other entertainment properties. It owns 353 properties as of 2022. History Entertainment Properties Trust was created by AMC Entertainment executive Peter Brown and financial analyst David Brain. They decided to establish a REIT focused on megaplex movie theaters after failing to find an existing REIT to help finance AMC's development of theaters. The company was incorporated on August 22, 1997. It held its initial public offering in November 1997, raising $278 million. Big Pocono State Park
Big Pocono State Park is a Pennsylvania state park in Jackson and Pocono townships in Monroe County, Pennsylvania in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The park is located on Camelback Mountain and is maintained jointly by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Camelback Ski Corporation. From the summit of the mountain, one has a view of vast portions of eastern Pennsylvania as well as parts of New Jersey and New York. A paved drive, in length, around the summit provides visitors with a view in all directions. Visitors can see the Delaware Water Gap from this location. The park, except for Camelback Mountain Resort, closes for the winter seven days following the end of deer season in December and reopens as conditions permit in the spring.
