Cambridge City Football Club is a association football, football club based in Cambridgeshire, England who currently play in the . Formed in 1908 as Cambridge Town F.C. in Cambridge, they played their home games at the City Ground (Cambridge), City Ground, Cambridge, between 1922 and 2013, and changed their name in 1951 when Cambridge was granted City status in the United Kingdom, city status. Bridge Road (Impington)
Bridge Road, also known as the Glassworld Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Impington, a small village connected to Histon in Cambridgeshire. The ground is owned by a trust called Histon Football Club Holdings, who guarantee the use of the facility for sports purposes. Histon F.C. rent the ground from the trust for free. It is the home ground of Histon F.C. and has a capacity of 4,300 with approximately 1,700 covered seats. Recently the ground has gone under a transformation improving its facilities ensuring that it is of a high enough standard to allow the Stutes to be promoted to the Conference National – as recently as 2003 the club only had covering in the Main Stand for around 350 fans and a small 'temporary' covered standing area which held around 150 fans. The City Ground (also known as Milton Road) was a football stadium and greyhound racing track, in Cambridge, England. It was the home of Southern League Premier Division club Cambridge City F.C. History The City Ground was Cambridge City's home ground from 29 April 1922 until 27 April 2013. It is located in the Chesterton area of the city, approximately 1 km north of the city centre. The Isthmian League () is a regional men's football league covering Greater London, East and South East England, featuring mostly semi-professional clubs. The Southern League is a men's football competition featuring semi-professional clubs from the South and Midlands of England. Together with the Isthmian League and the Northern Premier League it forms levels seven and eight of the English football league system. Supporters' Trust
In British sports, a supporters' trust is a formal, democratic and not-for-profit organisation of fans who attempt to strengthen the influence of supporters over the running of the club they support. There are over 140 supporters' trusts across England, Wales and Scotland and the majority of these are affiliated to football clubs, however trusts also exist for Rugby league and Rugby Union clubs. With government and with cross-party support, Supporters Direct was established to encourage the formation of supporters' trusts to promote democratic supporter ownership. The Football Association Challenge Cup, more commonly known as the FA Cup, is an annual knockout football competition in men's domestic English football. Conference South
The National League South, formerly Conference South, is one of the second divisions of the National League in England, immediately below the top division National League. Along with National League North, it is in the second level of the National League System, and is the sixth tier overall of the English football league system. The National League South was introduced in 2004 as part of a major restructuring of the National League System. Each year the champion of the league is automatically promoted to the National League.
