Dick Calmus
Richard Lee Calmus (born January 7, 1944) is a former pitcher in Major League Baseball. He attended Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he was the '' Tulsa World's'' Oklahoma basketball player of the year in 1962. He played baseball on the same high school team as fellow future major leaguer Carl Morton and won two state titles. Signed as a " bonus baby" by the Los Angeles Dodgers (and thus required to stay on the major league roster for his first season), he posted a 3-1 record and 2.66 ERA in 1963, but then developed arm trouble in the minor leagues; later traded to the Chicago Cubs, he never won another game in the majors. Rocky Ayres Calmus (born August 1, 1979) is an American former college and professional football player who was a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for three seasons during the early 2000s. He played college football for the University of Oklahoma, earned consensus All-American honors twice, and was recognized as the nation's top college linebacker. The Tennessee Titans picked him in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Early years Calmus was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is one of several high school football players to reach the professional ranks from the highly successful football program at Jenks High School in Jenks, Oklahoma. Kjartan Ólafsson (composer)
Kjartan Ólafsson (born 18 November 1958) is an Icelandic musicologist, composer and academic. He is the creator of the composing software CALMUS and has worked on the use of artificial intelligence in classical music composition. Life and education A native of Reykjavík, Kjartan Ólafsson spent from 1976 to 1989 studying music, composition and natural sciences at the Music College of Kópavogur, Hamrahliðar College, Reykjavík College of Music, Utrecht Conservatory and Sibelius Academy. He was a member of the short-lived band ''Smartbandið'' from 1985 to 1986 where he wrote the song Lalíf that topped the Icelandic charts for several weeks in 1986. Martin Lattke
Martin Lattke (born 29 May 1981) is a German tenor, performing as a soloist and former member of the ensemble amarcord. Career Born in Pirna, Martin Lattke was seven years old when he received his first singing training. He was a member of the Thomanerchor as a boy soprano for nine years beginning in 1990. In 1999 he co-founded the Leipzig vocal quintet ''Calmus'', with which he did concert tours in Europe and the USA. He won awards at international competitions. In 2002, he was awarded a scholarship of the German Music Competition. Since 2006 he is a member of the ensemble amarcord. Lattke received singing lessons from Gotthold Schwarz in Leipzig, completed studies in industrial engineering in 2003, and studied then singing at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig with Hans-Joachim Beyer.
