Callosciurus
''Callosciurus'' is a genus of squirrels collectively referred to as the "''beautiful squirrels''". They are found mainly in Southeast Asia, though a few species also occur in Nepal, northeastern India, Bangladesh and southern China. Several of the species have settled on islands. In total, the genus contains 15 species and numerous varieties and subspecies. The genera '' Glyphotes'', ''Rubrisciurus'', and '' Tamiops'' have sometimes been included in ''Callosciurus''. Pallas's squirrel (''Callosciurus erythraeus''), also known as the red-bellied tree squirrel, is a species of squirrel native to Greater China, India, and Southeast Asia. Description Pallas's squirrel is a medium-sized tree squirrel, with a head-body length of , and a tail in length. Both sexes are of similar size and appearance, and weigh between . The colour of the pelt varies considerably between the many different subspecies, but is generally brownish on the upper body with a more reddish tint on the belly, and often with some black on the tail. Callosciurus Notatus
The plantain squirrel, oriental squirrel or tricoloured squirrel (''Callosciurus notatus'') is a species of rodent in the family Sciuridae found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand in a wide range of habitats: forests, mangroves, parks, gardens, and agricultural areas. Callosciurus Honkhoaiensis
The Hon Khoai squirrel (''Callosciurus honkhoaiensis'') is a species of squirrel in the family Sciuridae endemic to the small island group of Hon Khoai, which is located off the Indochinese Peninsula off the coast of south Vietnam. It can be physically differentiated from other species of ''Callosciurus'' by the hairs at the tip of the tail being white with a black base, as well as the cream-colored ventral side and feet.
