Calle Clang
Calle Clang (born 20 May 2002) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender who currently plays for the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract as a prospect to the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Clang was selected by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Clang played as a youth within Swedish club, Rögle BK. He made his professional debut with Kristianstads IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv) during the 2020–21 season while on loan from Rögle BK. He made his Swedish Hockey League (SHL) debut, appearing in relief in one game during the campaign. 2022 NHL Entry Draft
The 2022 NHL Entry Draft was the 60th NHL Entry Draft. The draft was held on July 7–8, 2022, at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. Montreal were originally scheduled to host the 2020 draft but were unable to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time since 1985, the team hosting the draft selected first overall. The first three selections were Juraj Slafkovsky going to the hosting Montreal Canadiens, Simon Nemec being selected by the New Jersey Devils, and Logan Cooley being picked by the Arizona Coyotes. The Pittsburgh Penguins are a team in the National Hockey League (NHL). History Joe Daley became the first of 20 players selected by the Penguins in the 1967 NHL Expansion Draft on June 6, 1967. 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2022 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships were the 46th edition of the IIHF World Junior Championship, played from August 9–20, 2022 at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from December 26, 2021, through January 5, 2022, in Edmonton and Red Deer, Alberta, Red Deer — the host cities originally awarded the 2021 tournament before it was moved into a "Bubble (sports), bubble" Behind closed doors (sport), behind closed doors in Edmonton due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After COVID-19 outbreaks on multiple teams, the tournament was cancelled by the IIHF on December 29, 2021. The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world.
