"Call on Me" is the debut single by Australian singer-songwriter Starley. The song was written by her and Peter Wadams. It was made available for digital download on 29 July 2016 through Tinted Records, and it was re-released through Tinted Records and Epic Records on 13 October 2016. Background Starley said, "I wrote this song when I was at a low point in my life.... It became a way of telling myself it was going to be ok, almost like an encouragement. It was as if I had created my own lighthouse, a beacon to help me realize my dreams are not impossible. I can do this. I'll figure it out. I just need to follow my intuition and essentially call on myself." Starley Hope (born 3 October 1987) is an Australian singer and songwriter. She is best known for her 2016 debut single " Call on Me". Early life Starley Hope was born and raised in Sydney, New South Wales, to a Mauritian father and an Australian mother of Filipino and Japanese descent. She later moved to London to pursue a career in music, before moving back to Australia and signing with the label Tinted Records. Career Starley featured on Odd Mob's single " So Into You", the song was released on 8 April 2016. She released her debut single " Call on Me" on 29 July 2016 through Tinted Records. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France.
