California Film Commission
The California Film Commission (CFC) was founded in 1985 by then California Governor George Deukmejian to act in an economic development capacity for the state. It is a part of the California Trade and Commerce Agency, formerly the Business, Transportation, and Housing Agency. Its purpose is to enhance California's position as the location of choice for motion picture, television and commercial production. The board is made up of 26 members, appointed by the governor, the Senate Committee on Rules, and the Speaker of the Assembly, as well as ''ex officio'' membership. The commission has two programs: Film California First and Star Program. The former, founded in 2000 by then Governor Gray Davis, refunds location costs to filmmakers for certain locations and expenses. The later offers certain state owned properties for free to filmmakers. Hollywood Boulevard
Hollywood Boulevard is a major east–west street in Los Angeles, California. It begins in the east at Sunset Boulevard in the Los Feliz district and proceeds to the west as a major thoroughfare through Little Armenia and Thai Town, Hollywood. After crossing Fairfax Avenue, Hollywood Boulevard ends at a stop sign, at Laurel Canyon Drive, and continues northbound, as a winding residential street, going up in the hills and canyons in the Hollywood Hills West district. Cerritos College is a public community college in Norwalk, California. It offers degrees and certificates in 87 areas of study in nine divisions. History The college was founded in 1955. It was named after Rancho Los Cerritos, a local ranch in the 19th century. In turn the college was part of the inspiration for the renaming of the neighboring city of Dairy Valley to Cerritos. The district covers Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Downey, Norwalk, La Mirada, and Hawaiian Gardens. Originally, classrooms were rented in the now defunct Excelsior High School in September 1956.
