Calgary Storm Select
Calgary Storm Prospects (formerly the Calgary Storm Select) were a Canadian soccer team who played in the Premier Development League, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid in 2002 and 2003. The team was the official development team of the Calgary Storm of the USL A-League. They played their home games at Glenmore Park Stadium. History In 2002, the Calgary Storm moved their PDL team to the USL A-League from the PDL, but created a development team to replace the PDL side. The played in the Northwest Division in the Western Conference. In 2003, club owner Michael Vandale resigned as owner, citing personal issues and mounting financial losses, handing over the operation of the club to the United Soccer Leagues. USL Premier Development League
USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional developmental soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States and Canada, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The league features 113 teams for 2022, split into sixteen regional divisions across four conferences. USL League Two is headquartered in Tampa, Florida. Ventura County Fusion are the current champions, having defeated Long Island Rough Riders 2–1 in the 2022 USL League Two Championship game on August 6, 2022. Competition format USL League Two is divided into 4 conferences (Eastern, Central, Southern, and Western), comprising 16 divisions. Fraser Valley Mariners is a Canadian soccer team based in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada. Founded in 2003, the team plays in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Northwest Division of the Western Conference. 2002 PDL Season
The 2002 USL Premier Development League season was the 8th PDL season. The season began in April 2002 and ended in August 2002. Cape Cod Crusaders finished the season as national champions, beating Boulder Rapids Reserve 2-1 in the PDL Championship game. Des Moines Menace finished with the best regular season record in the league, winning 15 out of their 18 games, suffering no losses, and finishing with a +49 goal difference. The ''Calgary Herald'' is a daily newspaper published in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Publication began in 1883 as ''The Calgary Herald, Mining and Ranche Advocate, and General Advertiser''. It is owned by the Postmedia Network.
