Calgary Southeast
Calgary Southeast was a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1988 to 2015. The district was in the southeast part of the City of Calgary. It was bounded by the city limits to the south and east. History The electoral district was created in 1986 from Calgary East, Bow River and Calgary South ridings. In 1996, parts were transferred from this electoral district to Calgary East. Calgary Shepard
Calgary Shepard is a federal electoral district in Alberta, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2015. Calgary Shepard was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for October 2015. It was created out of parts of the electoral districts of Calgary East and Calgary Southeast. The riding's name refers to Shepard, Alberta. This is a list of Canada's 338 federal electoral districts (commonly referred to as '' ridings'' in Canadian English) as defined by the ''2013 Representation Order''. Canadian federal electoral districts are constituencies that elect members of Parliament to Canada's House of Commons every election. Provincial electoral districts often have names similar to their local federal counterpart, but usually have different geographic boundaries. Lee Richardson (politician)
Lee Richardson (born October 31, 1947) is a Canadian businessman and politician. Richardson was first elected to Parliament in the 1988 election as a Progressive Conservative representing the riding of Calgary Southeast. In 1993 Richardson returned to a successful career in business, community service and philanthropy. He was re-elected in 2004, winning four consecutive elections in the constituency of Calgary Centre. Richardson announced his resignation from the House of Commons on May 30, 2012, in order to accept an appointment as Principal Secretary to the Premier of Alberta. Janet (Jan) Corinne Brown (born June 23, 1947 in Nanaimo, British Columbia) is a Canadian former politician. She was first elected as a Member of Parliament under the Reform Party of Canada ticket in the Alberta riding of Calgary Southeast in the 1993 federal election. Before entering politics, Brown was a schoolteacher and then agribusiness executive. She is of Croatian descent. George Read, within the politics of Canada, is the former leader of the Alberta Greens and formerly a key organizer for the federal Green Party of Canada (GPC) in Alberta. Frederick Paul Fromm (born January 3, 1949) is a Canadian former high school teacher, white supremacist, neo-Nazi, and perennial political candidate. Fromm is the international director of the white supremacist organization Council of Conservative Citizens and is the director of several far-right groups in Canada, most notably the Canadian Association for Free Expression, Citizens for Foreign Aid Reform and the Canada First Immigration Reform Committee.
