Mattia Caldara (; born 5 May 1994) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a centre back for club Spezia, on loan from AC Milan. He has represented the Italy national team. Club career Atalanta 2013–14 season Born in Bergamo, Caldara began his career with hometown club Atalanta, entering in the youth categories. He played for the Primavera team from 2011 to 2014, (2013–14 season as an overage player), and on 5 May 2014, Caldara made his professional debut coming on as a second-half substitute in a Serie A match against Catania. Loan to Trapani On 3 July 2014, he was loaned to Serie B side Trapani to gain more experience. Jon Caldara is an American libertarian activist who serves as the president of the Independence Institute. He is a radio host and has a current events show, ''Devil's Advocate with Jon Caldara'', that airs on KBDI-TV PBS 12 in Denver, Colorado. Early life and education Caldara was born in Trenton, New Jersey. His family moved to Colorado when he was six years old. He graduated from Heritage High School and the University of Colorado Boulder. While in college, he drew a comic strip called ''B Street.'' After college, Caldara worked as a roadie setting up stage equipment for rock bands. He later started a stage lighting business. Public policy career Caldara was elected to the board of directors for the Regional Transportation District, eventually becoming chairman. Antonio Caldara
Antonio Caldara (ca 1670 – 28 December 1736) was an Italian Baroque composer. Life Caldara was born in Venice (exact date unknown), the son of a violinist. He became a chorister at St Mark's in Venice, where he learned several instruments, probably under the instruction of Giovanni Legrenzi. In 1699 he relocated to Mantua, where he became ''maestro di cappella'' to the inept Charles IV, Duke of Mantua, a pensionary of France with a French wife, who took the French side in the War of the Spanish Succession. Caldara removed from Mantua in 1707, after the French were expelled from Italy, then moved on to Barcelona as chamber composer to Charles III, the pretender to the Spanish throne (following the death of Charles II of Spain in 1700 without any direct heir) and who kept a royal court at Barcelona. Orme Caldara
Orme Caldara (born Frank Slocum; February 9, 1875 – October 21, 1925) was an American stage actor. He was married to actress Julia Dean from 1906 to 1913. Caldara appeared in one movie, ''The Spreading Dawn'' with Jane Cowl. He often appeared with Cowl in the theatre co-starring with her in several influential Broadway plays, including '' Within the Law'' (1912–1913), '' Common Clay'' (1915–1916), ''Lilac Time'' (1917), and '' Smilin' Through'' (1919–1920). Caldara contracted tuberculosis in the early 1920s, and his ailing health forced him to retire from his stage career. He died of the disease in a sanatorium in Saranac Lake, New York in 1925. Polidoro Caldara
Polidoro Caldara, usually known as Polidoro da Caravaggio ( – 1543) was an Italian painter of the Mannerist period, "arguably the most gifted and certainly the least conventional of Raphael's pupils", who was best known for his now-vanished paintings on the facades of Roman houses. He was unrelated to the later painter Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, usually known just as Caravaggio, but both came from the town of Caravaggio. Life and work Polidoro Caldara was born in Caravaggio, in what is now Lombardy. According to Vasari, whilst working as a labourer carrying the materials for the builders of the Vatican logge he ingratiated himself with the artists, and attracted the admiration of Maturino da Firenze, one of Raphael's main assistants in the ongoing decoration of the Vatican. Domenico Caldara (1814–1897) was an Italian painter, mainly of portraits and genre painting. Biography He was born in Foggia in Apulia, into a humble family, but was sponsored by a local aristocrat, Count Varo, to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. He was commissioned to paint the ceiling of the main hall of the Casa Siniscalchi in Naples with frescoes depicting ''Apollo with the muses on Parnassus''. In 1854, he was named a professor at the Academy in Naples. He painted for the royal family, including a ''Vision of Christ by St Theresa'' and a ''Glory of St Vincent Ferreri''.
