Roger Sablonier
Roger Sablonier (16 April 1943 – 8 June 2010) was a Swiss historian and writer of non-fiction publications, and Emeritus (Prof. Dr.) of the faculty of the University of Zürich. Biography Born in Uster on 16 April 1941 as the son of Mary Ida (née Wunderli) and Carlo Demetrio Sablonier, Roger Sablonier grew up with two sisters. He studied history, French language history and medieval studies at the University of Zürich and received the PhD (Dr. phil.) in 1967. From 1972 to 1979, Sablonier was assistant professor of history, and habilitated in 1977 in Zürich. Beginning in 1979, Sablonier taught as an associate professor of medieval history. From 1984 to 2006, he was an ordained professor at the University of Zürich, and since 2006 ''Emeritus'' (''Emeritierter Ordinarius für Geschichte des Mittelalters'') of the historical faculty. Precipitation (meteorology)
In meteorology, precipitation is any product of the condensation of atmospheric water vapor that falls under gravitational pull from clouds. The main forms of precipitation include drizzle, rain, sleet, snow, ice pellets, graupel and hail. Bodio Dorf
Bodio is a municipality in the district of Leventina in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. History Bodio is first mentioned in 1227 as ''Boidi''. During the Middle Ages, Bodio and the now abandoned village of Simbra (or Saimola) formed a ''Degagna'' in the Giornico area. During the reign of the cathedral of Milan over the three '' Ambrosian Valleys'', in May and November the ''placita della Leventina'' meetings were held in Bodio. The ''Placita della Leventina'', was a meeting of the Leventina valley used to administer justice and to discuss local issues. Until the 16th century the village belonged to the parish of Giornico. It became a separate parish in 1567, and until 1602 Pollegio was part of the parish. The church of S. Stefano was first mentioned in 1227. Buseno is a municipality in the Moesa Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. History Buseno first became an independent municipality in 1851 when it separated from the former municipality of Calanca. The parish church of SS. Pietro e Antonio was consecrated in 1483.
