Cain's Cutthroats
''Cain's Cutthroats'' is a 1971 western-themed exploitation film. It is a story of brutality, betrayal, and revenge set in the period immediately following the end of the American Civil War. The film was released under the alternate titles ''Cain's Way'', ''The Blood Seekers'', and ''Justice Cain''. It stars John Carradine, Scott Brady, Darwin Joston, Valda Hansen, Robert Dix, Tereza Thaw, and Adair Jameson. Plot After the end of the Civil War, Confederate army captain Justice Cain ( Scott Brady) retires from the military. He becomes a farmer and lives a peaceful life with his son, Jody (by his deceased first wife) and his new wife, Angie (Tereza Thaw), the biracial ex-slave of Cain's former father-in-law. Kent Osborne (director)
Kent Osborne aka Ken Osborne is a film director and occasional actor. The films he has directed have mainly been exploitation types. His films include ''Wild Wheels'' in 1969, ''Cain's Cutthroats'' in 1971, ''The Ballad of Billie Blue'' in 1972, ''Women Unchained '' in 1974 and ''Hollywood Confidential'' in 2008. Career (director) 1960s His earliest directorial work includes ''Raw Love'' which was released in 1965. It featured Suzanne Anderson and Mike Perry. Osborne both directed the 1996 biker exploitation flick ''Wild Wheels'' as well as co-writing the story. The film starred Don Epperson, Robert Dix, Casey Kasem, Terry Stafford, and Dovie Beams who would later find notoriety for her affair with President Ferdinand Marcos. John Carradine
John Carradine ( ; born Richmond Reed Carradine; February 5, 1906 – November 27, 1988) was an American actor, considered one of the greatest character actors in American cinema.
