Café Society (British Band)
Café Society were a British band who were active in the mid-1970s. Based on the trio of Tom Robinson, Hereward Kaye and Raphael "Ray" Doyle, they recorded one self-titled album on the Konk Records, Konk record label, produced by Ray Davies of the Kinks. History The band came together in London in 1973, although the three original members had known each other for several years, first meeting in Kaye's home town of Middlesbrough. They all sang, played guitar, and wrote songs. When living in London, they began performing together in a folk rock style as "Hereward & Friends" at clubs including Bunjies, and were mentored by Alexis Korner. After adopting their new name of Café Society, they won a residency at the Troubadour Club where they were heard by Ray Davies. Sex Pistols
The Sex Pistols were an English punk rock band formed in London in 1975. Although their initial career lasted just two and a half years, they were one of the most groundbreaking acts in the history of popular music. Danny Kustow
Alexander Daniel Kustow (10 May 1955 – 11 March 2019) was an English rock guitarist, known for his dynamic performance style and work with the Tom Robinson Band in the 1970s and 1980s. Early life Kustow was born at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital in Hammersmith, London, England, on 10 May 1955, the son of Ann Kustow (née Justus) and Dr. Bernard Kustow, a physician in General Practice in the National Health Service, who had served with the British Army's Royal Army Medical Corps during World War II. He spent his childhood in Willesden, North London. Time UK was a mid-1980s English rock band with Rick Buckler, the former drummer with The Jam. The group released three singles. Moby Dick (musical)
''Moby Dick'' is a musical with a book by Robert Longden, and music and lyrics by Longden and Hereward Kaye, first staged in 1990. The plot follows the anarchic and nubile girls of St. Godley's Academy for Young Ladies who, determined to save the institution from bankruptcy, decide to stage Herman Melville's classic 1851 novel in the school's swimming pool. The musical is a mixture of high camp, music hall-style smut, and wild anachronism overflowing with double entendres; the lead role of headmistress/Captain Ahab is portrayed by a man in drag. Tom Robinson Band (TRB) are a British rock band, established in 1976 by singer, songwriter and bassist Tom Robinson.
