Los Caminantes are a Mexican Grupera band hailing from San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato led by singer-songwriter Agustín Ramírez. Originally called Los Caminantes Aztecas, the group was formed in San Bernardino County, California by brothers: Agustín, Brígido, Horacio and Bernardo Ramírez in the mid-1970s. In 1982, Martín Ramírez, the youngest brother of the band, joined the group replacing Bernardo on keyboards. They later acquired Humberto Navarro as their drummer. Agustín Ramírez (singer)
Agustín Ramírez Sánchez (August 28, 1952 – October 26, 2022) was a Mexican singer-songwriter, co-founder and frontman of the Mexican musical group Los Caminantes. Ramírez composed and was responsible for many of Los Caminantes' hits, including, "Palomita Mensajera," "Para Que Quieres Volver," "Regresare," "He Sabido," "Volar, Volar," "Ven y Abrazame," "Una Noche," "Todo Me Gusta De Ti," "Mi Niña," "Lagrimas Al Recordar," etc. Ramírez also composed songs for groups such as El Tiempo, Los Sagitarios, El Jefe y Su Grupo, and in 1990, composed a ballad for the tropical group Los João called, "Una Noche Mas Sin Ti." In 1993, Agustín Ramírez received an honorary plaque award which was placed outside a wall of his hometown of San Pancho by the mayor. The mayor of that time wanted to honor Agustín for his achievements, recognition and pride of San Pancho, Mexico, and Latin America. Chucho Monge
Jesús Monge Ramírez (November 9, 1910 – August 9, 1964), better known as Chucho Monge, was a Mexican composer best known for writing traditional songs. Born in Morelia, Michoacán, he is the writer of several well-known songs, including "México Lindo y Querido", "La Feria de las Flores", "Pobre Corazón", and "Cartas Marcadas", among others. Monge started his musical career competing against other composers like Agustín Lara and Alfonso Esparza Oteo in waltz composition contests. Later on, he became a radio artist in XEQ, XEW and XEB stations. He developed a partnership with Lucha Reyes, who helped popularize his song “La Feria de las Flores”. The song was inspiration for a Disney movie that never happened, due to legal reasons. José Alfredo Jiménez Sandoval (; 19 January 1926 – 23 November 1973) was a Mexican singer-songwriter of rancheras, whose songs are considered the basis of modern Mexican music. Biography Jiménez was born in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. He was discovered in 1948 by the singer Miguel Aceves Mejía and according to him he did not play an instrument and did not even know the Spanish word for "waltz" or what keys his songs were in. One day in 1948, Miguel Aceves Mejía and some friends arrived for dinner to a restaurant called La Sirena, in Santa Maria de la Rivera. The clerk came to him and asked: “Don Miguel.
