''CadZZilla'' is a custom car built by Boyd Coddington. History Conceived in 1989, ''CadZZilla'' is a customized Cadillac, built for Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. The car's appearance was designed by Jack Chisenhall and Larry Erickson. It is acclaimed as one of the great expressions of automotive customization. Boyd Coddington
Boyd Coddington (August 28, 1944 – February 27, 2008) was an American hot rod designer, the owner of the Boyd Coddington Hot Rod Shop, and star of ''American Hot Rod'' on TLC (TV channel), TLC. Early life, education and early career Coddington grew up in Rupert, Idaho, reading all the car and hot rod magazines he could, and got his first car (a 1931 Chevrolet truck) at age 13. He attended machinist trade school and completed a three-year apprenticeship in machining. In 1968, he moved to California building hot rods by day and working as a machinist at Disneyland during the night. He soon became known for building unique hot rods and in 1977 he opened his own shop, Hot Rods by Boyd, in Stanton, California. His first major customer was Vern Luce whose car, a 1933 coupe, won the Al Slonaker Award at the 1981 Oakland, California, Oakland Roadster show. Billy Gibbons
William Frederick Gibbons (born December 16, 1949) is an American musician who is the guitarist and lead singer of the rock band ZZ Top. He began his career in the band the Moving Sidewalks, which recorded a full-length album entitled, ''Flash'' in 1968 and opened four dates for the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Gibbons formed ZZ Top in late 1969 and released ''ZZ Top's First Album'' in early 1971. He has also maintained a solo career in recent years, starting with his first album ''Perfectamundo'' (2015). Gibbons possesses a gravelly bass-baritone singing voice and is known for his bluesy, groove based guitar style. Gibbons is also recognized for the chest-length beard he has worn since 1979, a look he shared with ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill until Hill's death in 2021. Fuel injection is the introduction of fuel in an internal combustion engine, most commonly automotive engines, by the means of an injector. This article focuses on fuel injection in reciprocating piston and Wankel rotary engines. Kustom Kulture is a neologism used to describe the artworks, vehicles, hairstyles, and fashions of those who have driven and built custom cars and motorcycles in the United States of America from the 1950s through today. It was born out of the hot rod culture of Southern California of the 1960s. In the early days of hot rodding, many fashions and styles developed.
