Sheila Florance
Sheila Mary Florance (24 July 1916 – 12 October 1991) was an Australian theatre, television and film actress. She was best known for her performance as elderly, alcoholic convict Lizzie Birdsworth in the television series ''Prisoner''. Florance, born in Melbourne, Victoria, married an Englishman in 1934 and sailed to London. She spent World War II in England. Her early career was based on the London stage. Her first husband died in action following the 1944 Normandy landings. Returning to Australia in 1948, where she started performing locally as a theatre actress, before entering films and television series. Florance had a reputation as a teller of extraordinary stories and in the 1950s she was known for her house parties. Florance died in 1991 from lung cancer, a week after receiving the AACTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her final film. Isabelle Huppert is a French actress who has appeared in more than 120 feature films, mostly in starring roles. Regarded as one of the most respected actresses in French cinema, she has appeared in films directed by Claude Chabrol, Jean-Luc Godard and Michael Haneke. Sean Scully (born 28 September 1947) is an Australian actor, active in film and television, most especially serials. Early life The son of actress and radio host Margaret Christensen, Scully was born in Sydney, New South Wales. Career Scully began his acting career at the age of 12 in the 1960 Children's Film Foundation film ''Hunted in Holland'', which won the Diploma of Honour at the Cannes Film Festival. ''Cinema Papers'' was an Australian bi-monthly film magazine which ran from 1974 to 2001. It absorbed ''Filmviews'' in 1989. History and profile ''Cinema Papers'' was first published as a nationally distributed magazine in January 1974. The name was derived, via a single issue magazine produced by students at La Trobe University in October 1967, from the influential French journal ''Cahiers du Cinéma''. The magazine was published on a bimonthly basis and had its headquarters in Melbourne. One of the owners was MTV Publishing Ltd. In 1989 ''Cinema Papers'' absorbed another film magazine, ''Filmviews'', but declining sales saw the magazine end in 1999.
