Carlo Vanzina
Carlo Vanzina (13 March 1951 – 8 July 2018) was an Italian film director, producer and screenwriter. Vanzina was born in Rome, the son of Maria Teresa Nati and film director Stefano Vanzina and brother of Enrico Vanzina. In English-speaking countries, he is likely best known for his 1985 giallo '' Nothing Underneath'', starring Donald Pleasence and Renee Simonsen, which received a substantial home video release and aired on cable frequently. He would effectively remake his own film in 2011 as ''The Last Fashion Show'' with Richard E. Grant. Many of his projects were made for Italian television with English-speaking actors, and in turn these films received English-language home video releases in America. Vincenzo Salemme
Vincenzo Salemme (born 24 July 1957) is an Italian actor, playwright, director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Bacoli, Province of Naples, Salemme began his career in 1976, with the stage company of Tato Russo. The following year he joined the theatre crew of Eduardo De Filippo, later led by his son Luca, where he worked until 1992. In a 2018 interview, he said that De Filippo taught him to "''italianise"'' words in Neapolitan when not in Naples, so everybody could understand the play. In the 1990s, Salemme started writing and producing his own comedy plays, enjoying a large success with ''E fuori nevica''. Carlo Buccirosso (born 7 July 1954) is an Italian actor, theatre director and playwright. As an actor, he's best known for his roles in comedy films, especially the ones by Vincenzo Salemme and Carlo Vanzina, in which he's often typecast as a stereotypical lower middle-class Neapolitan man. For his performance as corrupt politician Paolo Cirino Pomicino in Paolo Sorrentino's ''Il Divo'' (2008) he received critical praise and was nominated to David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actor. Max Tortora (born Massimiliano Tortora on 21 January 1963) is an Italian actor. Biography Very active on TV, Tortora began his career on stage in the 1980s, after graduating in Architecture. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre.
